This vignette is really nicely done. Nerdanel's realization of how the others' inability to forgive Celebrimbor would become a self-fulfilling prophesy gave me pause. (Really ... I did have to stop and think about that for a moment. ;) This is such a profound observation that I think is true of a lot of characters in the Silm.) It also fits well with your choice to re-embody the Elves as infants. Now my mind is reeling, years down the line, imagining what will come to pass ... *hides from plotrabbits*
