- SWG News. We are currently soliciting the help of our writers and artists for AkallabĂȘth in August, so check out our announcement about this upcoming project here, as well as a new Reference essay and other news from within the SWG!
- Character of the Month Biography: Elros Tar-Minyatur, by Oshun. Elros is one of the principle characters by which the legends in The Silmarillion are connected to those in The Lord of the Rings. This month's biography explores what is know of Elros's background as well as his significance as a "link" character between the two major works.
- Linguistic Foolery: Elvish Families and What They Wore, by Darth Fingon. This month's "Linguistic Foolery" considers the question of how Elves defined their relationships to each other, as well as words for the types of clothing they wore.
- A Sense of History: Beowulf in Beleriand, by Angelica. This new bi-monthly column will consider historical influences on Tolkien's construction of Arda. This month's column considers aspects of Anglo-Saxon culture that, at times, influenced Tolkien's construction of his secondary world.
- Current Challenges. This month, we introduce a new challenge and unearth an old one, as well as provide a new quote of the month.
- Around the World and Web. Announcements and events from Tolkien groups beyond the SWG.
