• SWG News. We've got a busy two months ahead of us! July is International Day of Femslash, and we are focusing on References within SWG this month. August is Akallabêth in August--and it is not too late to sign up to participate!


• Character of the Month Biography: Maeglin, by Russandol. Maeglin is one of Tolkien's most notorious characters, credited with almost single-handedly bringing Gondolin unto its ruin. Was this his fate, and did his betrayal serve a necessary purpose in the history of Middle-earth? Russandol surveys Tolkien's sources to reveal much of this dark and oft-maligned character.


• Current Challenges. This month, we continue with the new Fanon Inverted challenge, revisit a past challenge, and offer a new quote for the month.
