I haven't had a chance to compile what was written today on the website yet--tomorrow is another day! :) However, the first four days' writings, as well as old prompts, can be found here. Banners and icons for participants are here.

With thanks to Raksha.
Her voice rose and fell, clear and sweet in the stillness of the night air.
Aragorn stood as if entranced listening to the lullaby: he recalled the first moment he had beheld his lady and called her Tinúviel. Never had the name seemed more apt.
Arwen turned and smiled, gesturing towards the child in her arms.
Suddenly Aragorn felt he understood a great mystery, that of the music of creation. That same music, which called Arda to life, had also formed their harmony, which became this perfect child. His voice joined hers as together they lulled the babe into slumber.

Date: 2009-03-07 04:09 am (UTC)I will definitely check out your other work after B2MeM. I have really enjoyed your drabbles so far; each one has something special about it. I write drabbles (I write anything that will hold still long enough!) and know how tough it is to catch that magic in just 100 words. You've definitely got it. ;)

Date: 2009-03-13 06:44 pm (UTC)and i'm running horribly behind on b2mem because i've been away all week but once i get home, i'll catch up. i'm having far too much fun writing drabbles for this.

Date: 2009-03-06 09:43 pm (UTC)Btw, the special characters are still showing up weird on TFF. Do you have smart quotes turned on in Word? If so, that might be the problem; unless the site's encoding is set to UTF-8, then Word's fancy-pants "smart quotes" won't show up properly. :)

Because, really, who but Maglor could possibly be used for a music prompt?

Date: 2009-03-08 07:31 pm (UTC)I agree that this prompt comes with a Maglor-bunny attached. ;) This is lovely; I especially liked Maglor's musings on whether it was something inherent in the sons of Feanor that made them foes whereas everyone else's deeds were noble. And I really like the connection you make between the song and Maglor in the First Age! :)

Date: 2009-03-11 12:08 am (UTC)This is a sweet little ficlet here that really captures the prompt perfectly. And I love the line about how he curls his body around the harp like a lover--beautiful! :)
